My name is Xavier; I am 16 from Victoria, Australia. I am seeking funding for an App I believe everyone should have. I call it Atom. The app allows the user to scan the ingredients on the back of there self-care, food, and sports drinks. Why is this important? The Self-Care industry has no rules or regulations when it comes to what ingredients they put in their products, meaning they can use dangerous ingredients that can lead to cancer. Such as famous examples of artificial colours and flavours. However, there are less known ingredients such as sodium lauryl sulfate used in skin care products to make it more spreadable. Up words of 60% what you put on your skin enters your bloodstream.  In a report published by the international journal of toxicology sodium lauryl sulfate had a degenerative effect on cell membranes because of their protein denaturing properties (this means it speeds up aging!). Once you scan your anti-aging cream, sodium lauryl sulfate will be highlighted red and warn you about the dangers once clicked on. SLS is not the only ingredient! This is why the app is beneficial.
